Family Sponsorship
Canada offers the opportunity to sponsor your spouse, dependent children, parents, and grandparents for permanent residency under the Family Class Immigration program. This pathway helps reunite families and allows loved ones to live together in Canada. There are several categories available for sponsorship, each designed to meet different family situations.
Spousal Sponsorship

Spousal Sponsorship allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their spouse or common-law partner to join them in Canada.
If your partner is already living in Canada, you can apply through Inland Spousal Sponsorship.
If your partner is living outside of Canada, you can apply through Overseas Spousal Sponsorship.
Children Sponsorship
You can sponsor your dependent children under Canada’s Family Sponsorship program.
Dependent children must be under 22 years old to be eligible.
If they are 22 or older, they may still qualify if they have a mental or physical disability.
As a sponsor, you must meet the Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) level to demonstrate that you can support your child financially. A birth certificate or adoption papers can be used to prove your relationship.
Parent and Grand Parent Sponsorship
Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor their parents and grandparents for permanent residency.
You must meet the required minimum income thresholds and agree to provide financial support for your sponsored parents or grandparents throughout their stay in Canada.
Sponsoring other family members

In some cases, you may be eligible to sponsor orphaned siblings, nieces, nephews, or even a lonely relative if you have no immediate family members to sponsor. This category allows Canadians and permanent residents to bring close family members to Canada even if they don’t fall under the primary sponsorship categories.
